Book Design & Art Direction

I am a graphic designer with a special interest in book design and I have had the opportunity to work for several Australian publishing houses, including Walker Books Australia, Koala Books, Scholastic Australia, Murdoch Books, and New Holland Publishing. I am experienced in the commissioning illustrators, art direction, cover and page concept designs and typesetting for a large range of non-fiction, fiction and picture books.

I enjoy the challenges of working from early concept stages through to final design and all the stages in between, and have experience in collaborating with publishers, illustrators, editors, authors and production staff to get a clear understanding of requirements, working within budget and deadlines, developing concepts, refining ideas, image editing and prepress troubleshooting.
